Band Bio

Asphyxia is a Thrash Metal band from Armenia, Quindío (Colombia), formed in 2020 by Sebastián Cortes and Steven Cardona. Their fast, aggressive, and hard-hitting sound has allowed them to stand out in the local scene, where their live performances are known for explosive energy and a strong identity that keeps the spirit of classic thrash alive.

The current lineup consists of Nelson Alexander (vocals), José Vera (bass), Sebastián Cortez (guitar, founder), Steven Cardona (guitar, co-founder), and Nichole Von (drums). Asphyxia continues to expand its vision with crushing riffs, intense lyrics, and a powerful stage presence that pushes metal from the Coffee Region of Colombia onto new stages.
